Guestrooms
The Shire Inn takes its
name from its location at the seat of Orange County, Vermont. In the early days,
counties in Vermont were called "Shires", which in England, was the name given
to the domain of an earl. The Inn has six individually decorated guestrooms, named
after Vermont "shires". Each has a 10 foot ceiling, wide plank flooring, and
tall windows. All have modern private baths. All beds are
made up with hand-ironed, 275 threadcount 100%Pima cotton sheets -- you will appreciate
the difference!
