Summary:  60th Reunion Dinner
September 30, 2017
Ciao’s Restaurant, Eastchester, NY

During a 2016 summer visit with Gig Read in Michigan, Nancy Stevenson asked:  Shouldn’t our class have a 60th  class reunion?  After tossing the suggestion around and getting positive feedback, we decided to give it a try.  Alan Benedict said he and classmate friends had also been thinking about it.  Alan was willing to find a place to have a dinner.  Ciao’s (the former Albanese restaurant), proved to be a great location.  Rosalie Cuccia Gransden, Ann Buford Lillis and others were all “on board” and willing to help.

While Alan was finding us a great restaurant and communicating with classmates, Gig did some emailing, using the addresses in our 50th Reunion Book.  Jamie Vail helped track down classmates whose emails no longer worked…..and we tried snail mail too.  Around 60 classmates were interested in reuniting with friends.  Unfortunately the date we picked was not good for all.  At one  point we had a registration of 50 classmates and guests  We ended up with 40 classmates and guests who enjoyed  a fun evening of visiting with friends and renewing old friendships.
Ciao’s provided wine, appetizers and an Italian buffet dinner.
Jay Keller had a continuous viewing on the wall of pictures taken at our 50th reunion.  Before dinner, all classmates had the opportunity to summarize what was going on in their lives, and there were numerous statements of how much it meant to be a member of our class.  Members of our class who had passed away since our 50th were remembered.

There were lots of smiles, lots of hugs……and all seemed to agree that we do it again in 2 or 3 years!

Next time we will get more input on suggested dates to avoid conflicts.  Let me know if you want to help!  Someone could research the current “Roosevelt,”  name, mascot, colors, mission and programs, etc.

See you all in a couple of years!
